Looking back at the 2nd Regional Committee on Excavation Management, in a word: promising!🚧 ♻️

On May 16, Neo-Eco participated in the 2nd Regional Committee on Excavation Management organized by the Île-de-France Region and the DRIEAT (Regional and Interdepartmental Directorate for Environment-Planning-Transport).

An event that brought together more than 90 players in the construction and circular economy sectors to discuss the challenges of recovering excavated earth in Île-de-France.

⭐ Brenda Omaña Sanz & Emilien Vasmer represented Neo-Eco, notably for the presentation by Paul Schalchli of the project they are working on with the Departmental Council of Seine-Saint-Denis: “Production of eco-borders based on excavated earth and sewage sludge”.

🎤 Thank you for all these key interventions:

→ Nina Le Duc recalled the objectives of the PRPGD: 15% reduction in waste by 2031 and 80% recovery of spoil by 2025 💪

→ Guillemette de Kerdrel of DRIEAT detailed the new RNDTS regulations.

→ Guillaume GERARD presented the management report on the Grand Paris Express rubble and Thomas Gaudron shared the experiments in the recovery of rubble and the Circulence© method for evaluating and monitoring circular practices in our markets.

The round table hosted by the Paris Ile-de-France Water, Environment and Soil Cluster on the role of local authorities and public procurement, with Île-de-France Nature, Société des grands projets, Grand Paris Aménagement and Grand-Orly Seine Bièvre 🤝

🚀 3 levers of valorization highlighted:

1. Traceability: Good traceability is essential to facilitate land reclamation.

2. Eco-materials: Because this is the type of reclamation with the highest added value. Currently, this represents a small percentage, but innovative sectors like SGP, Cemex, Terre Utile, and CD93 are leading the way. And we are proud to support them.

3. Communities & Public Stakeholders: As we've already discussed, these stakeholders play a crucial role in boosting land reclamation. Our partnerships with IDF Nature, SGP, GPA, and Grand Orly Seine Bièvre are concrete examples. 👏

At Neo-Eco, we are committed to fostering a robust and sustainable circular economy on all these fronts. Thank you to all the speakers and participants for this morning's rich discussion and learning!
