Another way to disseminate Circular Economy practices: “Reuse” Workshops 🏗🔄

We had the pleasure of working alongside the GPV Rive Droite to lead a series of workshops dedicated to the reuse of materials in buildings and development.
These awareness-raising workshops, co-hosted with the GPV Rive Droite and the CANCAN collective, provided an opportunity to discuss and define new objectives for a more sustainable future:
→ Introduction to reuse and selective deconstruction
→ Reuse in new construction
→ Reuse and recycling in the development of public spaces
In recent months, we have been able to meet and support partner project managers in their skills development around reuse, with a view to facilitating synergies between resources and material needs in the construction industry. 🤝
A project that is part of an approach that goes back a little further…
⌛⏳
Since 2020, the GPV Rive Droite has led and coordinated an Industrial and Territorial Ecology approach aimed at:
→ Preserve natural resources
→ Reduce waste
→ Develop the local economy

This approach, one of the strategic axes of which aims to promote the reuse of construction materials on the right bank of the Bordeaux metropolitan area, is organized in 3 parts, coordinated and led by GPV, with the technical support of Neo-eco within the framework of an R&D agreement signed in 2021:
📝 Study: Territorial diagnosis to estimate material flows and identify reuse stakeholders.
🏗️ Experiment: 14 pilot operations to test and capitalize on good practices for careful removal.
👷 Facilitate synergies: Pre-identify synergies, support project owners and develop cooperation.
🎯 Next step: The creation of Feedback Sheets (REX) on the first deconstruction operations.
🙏 Many thanks to GPV Rive Droite and Collectif Cancan for this collaboration, as well as to all the participants from Bordeaux Métropole, Bordeaux Euratlantique, MÉSOLIA, CDC Habitat and Aquitanis - Bordeaux Métropole Public Housing Office for their commitment and collaboration.
