👉A few months ago, we presented the #CIRMAP project, which involves developing formulations to recycle recycled concrete sand (RCS) in urban, memorial, and garden furniture (UMJ). You can find this article here.

Our goal? 💡 The search for new recycled sands that meet the specifications defined by ARMINES/IMT Nord Europe and the University of Orléans.

✅In total, four deposits were selected by Neo-Eco based on their nature and origin, particle size, humidity, impurities, and available annual volumes. Analyses were carried out on samples at Armines/IMT Nord Europe and the University of Orléans. One of these sands proved entirely satisfactory, meeting the necessary conditions for its #recycling.

👉The next step? Pre-treat 15 tons of this sand, then formulate it into concrete and conduct 3D printability tests.

Furthermore, sands from several European sources have already been tested and formulated. Their formulations have been 3D printed in small formats, with interesting and promising results! 👏👏

♻This project is supported by the #InterregNorthWestEurope program, which promotes transnational cooperation between private and public stakeholders to develop ecological and economic solutions with strong ambitions in terms of #innovation, #sustainability, and #cohesion.

✅Companies and universities from Northwestern Europe have come together to give recycled concrete sand a second life.
