šŸ†• New project! Turning shell waste into cosmetic ingredients 🐚

We’re launching a project to valorise shell waste into bio-minerals — more specifically, calcium carbonate for use in cosmetic and personal care products.

šŸ¤ This project is being developed in partnership with Plinius Labs, a Flemish Belgian company specialising in green chemistry, and is part of the Interreg Crossroads France–Wallonia–FlandersĀ programme, which supports cross-border innovation between SMEs.

šŸŽÆ Our ambition:

Transform an under-exploited resource into a high-quality raw material that meets the stringent requirements of the cosmetics sector, while responding to the growing demand for natural, traceable and environmentally responsible ingredients.

🧪 How?

The project will follow a structured and step-by-step approach:

  • identification and securing of shell waste streams

  • material preparation and characterisation

  • development of sustainable extraction processes

  • prototype development and compliance assessment

  • initial market testing

Over the next two years, we will mobilise our expertise in sourcing, circular economy, eco-materials and engineering to structure a viable, high-performance value chain aligned with both regulatory and market expectations.

ā™»ļø Today’s waste can become tomorrow’s strategic resources — supporting industries in the midst of transformation.

This is just the beginning of this new adventure. More to come soon.
